Hey you precious pearls in our ocean,

At this time we've finished about 75% of the new material and you may call us fools if these songs don't rock like burning hell! This is again a big step in the unpredictable evolution of your favourite belgian brassband.

In the second half of march 2008 we'll pay the smelliest of smelly, Sir Jens Bogren (Fascination Street, SE) another visit in his dark cave and won't return to civilization before we clensed our souls from every possible stain. We've got lots of cool plans and ideas to work with and we'll post updates here and on MySpace from time to time. Meanwhile we'll still be doing shows here and there so come and say hi from time to time will you?

Before er forget, we really had a blast on the short tour we did together with Diablo Swing Orchestra from Sweden and as if this isn't enough already we'll be flying over to Italy in february 2008 for some shows and we expect all of you stallions and other pretty horses on our shows there so check our roster for details!

If music is your religion we'd be happy to take your confession!

Taking over mainstream music television!

So... everybody survived the almighty Graspop Fest last week?
Playing on sunday evening is fucking heavy I tell you... especially if the fest takes place in your own hometown so you have to party twice as hard for 3 days long :-)
But we all made through, we even had some nice surprises on the day of our show!

First of all (for our belgian readers) you should check out the Graspop Festival Report on the belgian network TMF. We had the honoure to answer questions of the incredibly fine vj An Lemmens. It was hard not to lose focus I tell you, DAMN! The interview is already viewable online at www.belgacom.be but unfortunatly for now only for their specific customers... but we'll try to post the entire intie on our myspace asap! The whole report will be aired on TMF one of these days I suppose, we'll let you know when exactly!

After that overwhelming beauty of an interview (we were still kind of dazzled...) we were approached by again 2 fine female vj's called Sofie and Wendy from that other TMF show Festival Facts. They asked if they could follow us with a camera for the rest of the day and being the nice lads that we are of course we were very honoured by their request. The report of our voyage together will be aired whole summer long on TMF on various times a day... so be sure to watch hours of sleazy R'nB and other hippediehop bullshit 'cause there will be that certain moment that we will confuse all those mainstream viewers with our infamous inbreed stupidity! ...or you can regulary check our MySpace to see if we posted it yet :-)

Up for new sensations!

Fashion up your ass!
posted 2007.05.21
Oceans Of Sadness will exclusively promote the upcoming men's collection (summer 2008) by fashion designer Idriz Jossa who, after the hugh success of his last collection "Clochard de Luxe", will now start with a clean plate by his own name IDRIZ JOSSA (Idriz literally meaning: 'the one who drives others mad').

Slogan for this new collection is "Fashion Up Your Ass" and the designs are based on black crows. These clothes will be sharp and edgy, dark and straight in your face. Deathfashion! No trendy arty-farty minimalism but Belgian horror surrealism on the edge! Innovating but not without taking a big dive into the past first, just like Oceans does with their music... re-arranging the old with the new."

New Gigs together with Epica!
posted 2007.03.25

Cool news! We will support our good friends of Epica on two of their upcoming shows in The Netherlands.

On march 30th we will perform on Epica's official FanClubDay at club Escape in Veenendaal and on june 1st on their show at club Vera in Groningen, both in The Netherlands. And on top of that we've planned a show with co-belgians Ancient Rites at club Gigant in Apeldoorn on april 26th... I guess you could say we're crossing our borders once again :-) Check out the gig-section!

See you there as we rock 'n roll to pleasure YOUR soul!"
The Return to Graspop Metal Meeting!
You asked for it and you got it!

For the fourth time allready Oceans of Sadness will play on the hometurf festival of Graspop Metal Meeting! Only some 8000-9000 people showed up last time (or was it 10 000? or 11... million?). Anyways, this is the chance to prove that Belgian headbangers bang the best to a Belgian headbanging metal band!

The morning after :-))
Okay people, it's now saturdaymorning, april 8th... Last night we had the official releaseparty for the new album 'Mirror Palace' in our little hometown called Dessel and hell, IT WAS GREAT!!!!
The place was totally packed and the party lasted 'til 6 in the morning... right now we have to go back to that place of mayhem and clean everything ourselves (the DIY-attitude can be hard some times :-))
